I have done a forum search, and can't find the answer. What fuse and where is the wiring for the "always on" right side outlet on an '06? I have pulled the dash panel and tested it with a circuit tester, so I know the outlet itself is ok, there is no power to the outlet.

Thanks to all,

Augie

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, all three in that row (two 15's and a 25) are good. I bought the truck used, who knows if the previous owner switched some out. Last week I went out and no power.

I have owned the truck for three years, no problems until this. I guess it could be worse, but I use it for my GPS and cell phone charger, Driver side (ignition on) is used for the snow plow controller, and I would like it to just power that one item. I picked up 37 contracts for this season, it will get a work out as it is.
Thanks again, I'll keep on looking.

Thanks, TLane I'll look that up now.
Yeah Road Dog, I did, but it never hurts to check the easy stuff first. Zero power to the plug.

Thanks to both of you!

Fuse # 38 is correct, but it may be installed in the ignition position. When installed in the ignition position, the power outlet is off when the ignition switch is off. NOTE; this is the only fuse with 3 holes for the fuse to insert into. The center is to the power outlet. The left hole is from the battery. The right hole is turned on/off from the ignition switch. If the fuse is in the left and middle hole, the power outlet is on all the time.

ThunderRoad, thanks, I'll check on that as soon as I get home.
Thanks, I never noticed the 3 holes before. I'll be home in an hour and report back.

Solved! AMattson and ThunderRoad nailed it. Funny thing is, there was no fuse in #38 at all. I guess I should have worn my glasses the first time. This aging thing is getting old.

Thank you to all that replied, and to TDR for attracting people way smarter than myself.
