On the second day with my power pup and outlook. This thing rocks Oo. Oo. Oo.

Ran it on performance, sweeeeeet, switched to extreme, slipped the tc, so I set it back to stock and it ran just like it did before I got it. Running it on performance now, this is where I will probably leave it. Just be sure you go back to stock before changing programs. I didn't and had to recover it. Smokes a little when you punch it, pulls pretty hard, boost hit 30. I will mess with it some more tomorrow, if it doesn't rain too hard. At any rate, this thing is cool Oo. Also threw in a pro gaurd 7 drop in.

I have the power pup too, and I don't like the way the transmission shifts with a load. Is there any upgrades to the program to make better shifts.

I'm not sure about any upgrades. I would give Bully Dog a call and check. What power setting are you using?

I have it on performance, tried extreme and it slipped the devil out of my trans so I figured I better not leave it there.

Just curious if you did anything with your exhaust as well? Do you hit 30 boost on the performance setting?

I've seen 27-29lbs of boost on performance. I have done nothing to the exhaust yet. I don't think it really needs it unless you are going to get wild with hp. Think Joe Donnelly said once stock exhaust was good to about 370-400hp, or something like that. But I sure would love to see my truck with that MBRP stainless dual setup. Not that I think I need it, but it sure would look cool :-laf :-laf Oo.

I've looked at that programmer and the outlook guages and liked the setup. I'm curious though how it affects everything else though. How's the fuel economy with these things? Also, how does it affect the idle and smoke levels? Apparently, it doesn't have any way of detecting TC slip so it won't be transmission frendly (though no power mods are exactly friendly to our auto trannys). Also, does it leave a footprint with the ECM? Any other info would be helpful as well.

I tried it on extreme, and that was to aggressive for my stock trans, lots of smoke, quick reving, and lots of tq clutch slip, didn't leave it there for 10 minutes. I have it set on performance, for me this is good. Accelerates like a car, no tq slip, but I don't beat the crap out of it either. If you jump on it hard, it puffs out a black puff and clears right up. It idles the same as stock. When I first uploaded the program, I got the abs light and the brake light, cleared the codes with the pup and all is well. Had to cycle the key 4 times and back up 30 or so feet and it hasn't come on since. It threw the skim key code, but I could care less anyway, as long as the truck runs ok. I am happy with it. I do mostly back road driving and used to average between 16. 9 and 18. It picked up 1. 5 to 2mpg if I drive normally. If you whip it, it likes the fuel :) Took a ride on the interstate last night and ran just a hair over 22mpg at 75mph(no hills)

As I said, I really like it, but I don't drive like a jack a** either.

I also added a pro gaurd 7 drop in and the outlook monitor is pretty cool too!

I think you would be happy with it. I might add that it's cool to smoke the kiddies at the stoplight with thier daddys acura's and stuff

Have fun,

jd

The new Triple Dog downloaders don't throw any codes and they do not leave a footprint on '04. 5-'06 engines with their latest software update (i. e. , resetting key cycles and fuel used).
