power pup vs. triple dog

What's the differences between the two boxes? I've got a stock 05 auto that I use to pull about 5-6K through the mountains so I'm looking for a little help on the long, steep pulls. I also wouldn't mind being able to blow some smoke just for fun as retarded as I know that is

First off, blowing smoke just for fun is not retarded at all, and I hope you were joking about that statement. I don't know too much about the differences between those boxes, however may I suggest looking at the TST. Thats what we have decided to use on an 06 we are building, because of its adjustability and because many people report great success with high horsepower numbers with this box. However, with any of the three of these, unless they come with an outlook monitor, gauges are a must.

The main difference is that the triple dog allows you to use it on all three makes, multiple years. You can only use it once at a time though, so unless you have other makes or a couple trucks, this feature is kinda bla IMO. Triple dog is also web upgradeable. The pup, last I knew, is not. Some rumors also illuded to the pups programs being a little hotter. (read more powerful) I dont know about that one.

I am in the process of evaluating the Triple Dog. So far it is a great downloader. On the extreme mode It is not as hot on the bottom as the PP. That is fine with me as i didn't like the smoke that the pp belched on the bottom. If you want smoke go with the PP. If you want better efficiency go with the TD. Remember smoke is wasted fuel. And that stuff is just too precious of a commodity to waste these days.

I have the 130 power pup. . It's as much as you want with the stock trans. With my trans taken care of, with PS62 and Dynomite Diesel Injectors it runs 13. 80's at 8,040 pounds empty (has a camper shell).

I talked to Bully Dog tech the other day about down loaders for my 04. 5. Here are the #'s he gave me : extreme level on powerpup = 130 hp/250 tq

Tripple Dog = 140 hp/209 tq and crazy larry on the tripple dog = 180 hp/300 tq.
