I have a 1998 1/2 24 valve 2500. I also have the edge ez with the elbow. The automatic transmission has the dtt 89% torque converter and the dtt valve body. I have the original injectors. This thing will literally fly. I have so much power. I know there are many out there with larger injectors that gives you more power and I have been thinking about getting some. The way this things moves now I am having a hard time convincing myself to get those bigger injectors. Is this going to make a big difference? Am I missing out on something? Convince me.

Ken Tenpenny,

Can you say Cessna 210 to a Cessna 421: it won't make it a Cessan Citaion X though;)

I had just an EZ with a shif-kitted auto, 3. 5 gears, and thought it was ok, and then added the DDII's; nice difference:D

It makes for a great pulling combination.

I think you would like it: I don't know who wouldn't?

V/R

Breck

On a side note: you will probably have to change the setting on your EZ to the 2nd or 3rd postition.

Even a set of DD1's will make a HUGE difference. A set of DD2's will keep the smoke and EGT down, and boggle your mind how hard it pulls.

I think what you noticed with your edge box is what I experienced with the DD1 injectors. I will be adding a box soon after a turbo upgrade. nw4hwl I guess you havent been smoked by a stock powerstroker yet. I have and soon it wont happen again:D

Dear Mr. Tenpenny!

Back in the 70's a little skinny girl named Karen Carpenter had a song that fits you. "We've only just begun", to fly :D As Ken Jones from Diesel Dynamics told me a few months ago when I started bombing my new truck he said, "laughing". "With an EZ you ain't even BEGAN to touch on the capabilities of that little motor. You know what? He's right! Yeah I've not got some serious cash involved but I drove my brother-in-laws 02, which is factory stock and I thought I was hooked to a dozer. Man I can't say enough, other than don't ride in some of these guys trucks that have got some serious bombs installed especially who are running autos. You will think you are gonna take off. Good luck and remember, "It's a disease, but a GOOD ONE";)

I went a different route. I uilt up the transmission on my 99 as with my 96 I knew that was the weak link. I put in 275 injectors and was happy with the added power. Then it began to feel a little underpowered. So I got a TST powermax3. Whoa nellie-but exhaust gas temps alittle high. Put on BHAF-dropped a little. Now brand new rear tires wore out in 3,000 miles. Got some new wheels and sticky street tires-285-65-16 Pirelli scorpions-so far 17,000 miles and wear bars not up yet. Now that rear wheels stick truck needed a little more pep. So I got me a Piers HX40 and a 4" exhaust. Feeling real good. Darn Just a little more-so I signed the release and sent my Powermax3 back to get the latest software and converted to the comp model. Also Al at Piers said that a set of DDIII's and the ATS exhaust manifold would get me that lost pep back. I guess it won't end there. I'm thinking a triple loc torque converter and a HX50/55 by summer. Who knows where I'll end up. The moral of the story is once you catch it, it is incurable. :D
