Hey guys, So im wondering if i need to take the collar off the power screw to turn it up....or will i get enough from it if i turn it up to the collar?

You can start by running it into Colar and see how you like it but before you go any farther get Gauges then turn it in more and have fun .

Correct. Pyro measures exhaust gas temps. That is what you will use to know if you have turned up the fuel too much or not enough.

Second is a boost gauge. This will tell you why your EGTs are so high and if you have too much fuel or not enough air. There is a big difference.

Then using both combined, you can make your truck run well! EGT too high? Turn down fuel or add more boost. Having gauges for both allow you to prove your efforts good or bad. Watch the pyro. You don't want to see over 1400-1500. That could be expensive if you do. ;)

Also if an auto, then a transmission temp gauge would be wise. Extra HP + slipping transmission = Lots of heat. You don't want to burn up your clutches....

Best place for gauges would be Genos garage. Boost on a stock ve engine should be 15 to 19 iirc. (Signagure, fill in)

I have the fuel screw turned at like 3? and the star screw in the ve pump where your fuel pin is turned at 1 1/2 or two? also the truck has quick spool turbo, stage 5 fuel pin and i think 60hp injectors?

Well when I still had the factory H1C turbo on my truck with +40 hp injectors I was seeing 32 PSI under WOT so I would go with the 0-40, but if you plan on upgrading the turbo in the future I would get the 0-60

Agreed. 0-60 would be the way to go.

And yes. Pyro is your safety net before melting engine parts. So if you have turned up fuel, and don't have much more air than stock, yes. It CAN be bad. ;)

And I am not saying this just cause I am the resident gauge freak. :D The pyro really is one to watch!
