I have found a place that sells the power seat motors!!! If you need the front or rear adjust motor then this is the place. As you all know the seat motors have to be purchased as an assembly (seat Frame $1k) but if you have some mechanical ability you can tackle this project yourself and save $$$. I purchased the rear seat motor for my 2006 and made it work by transferring the collar on mine to the new one which states it is for 2002-2005 etc. After taking mine apart the plastic gear had some teeth missing. I will attach some photos... this is my first attempt at photo attachment on TDR. Here is the link to two men one garage. My rear motor is not functioning on my '03. Is the plastic gear the only issue with yours? If so, is it possible to replace with a "metal" gear?

FYI, You have to remove the roll pin to get the motor out... this is the hardest part. You need to drive the pin out towards the outer seat track side and it will like about an 1/4 inch of going all the way out. . then you can rotate the motor housing out of the bracket. The plastic gear inside the housing can only be removed if the assembly is removed so you might as well replace the unit. If you take the seat out or remove the bolts to prop it up to get some room the job will be easier. At this time there are no instructions with the new motor (the website for the new parts says coming soon) so this is why I provided the feedback.

I hear the motor run when I hit the switch... so is the gear stripped on mine also, or would it be something internal on the motor ? Hate too pull it all apart just to have the same result I have now.

The seat motor will sometimes clicks or sounds like its running... but usually it will need replacing irregardless. Sometimes you can clean the threads on the adjustment screw and lube and it will work... but usually from what I have read on these motors is they just do not last long. You have four bolts that hold the seat to the seat frame and then you can see what your issue is. Most of the reading I have done on this subject is people try to find a used seat frame assembly. If the source for new motors I have mentioned gets some more in stock this is way far better than used or buying a new seat frame assembly.

I ordered an actuator for a 97, took the "screw" part out of it and installed it in the actuator out of my 04. The 97 doesn't have the stop collar on the screw, this is the only difference I could see. The collar shortens up the screw threads a bit, prob the cause of the stripped gears to begin with.
This does take some work to make it happen.
