Power Seat Repair - Help?

Has anyone found parts for the front lift portion of the 6 way seats without buying the entire seat adjuster assembly for $350+. I rarely use the up and down, but was looking for something under the seat and raised it up. There was that wonderful sound of plastic gears popping off and now I'm riding high in the saddle. At least I got it down partially. Any ideas on manually lowering it so I can make it back to Texas where there are a few more trucks in the wrecking yards. I've also seen entire seat assemblies for about the same price as the adjuster.



I also think the blend door went out on me today as well. The old girl has done well for having 92k on her, so I guess she just wanted a little attention.

I checked through the service manual and the parts manual and I can't find any useful exploded views of the seat mechanism.

It's interesting that the seat stuck in the UP position - I would've expected it to get stuck DOWN.

If it were me, I'd dismantle the seat and find what broke, then go from there.

The Mopar part sites all list it as an assembly and they run from $350 up. I found an entire power seat in a junk yard today for $100. The seat is trashed but I only need the assembly and will keep the old one for spare parts. Yesterday was not a good day. I could hear the gears popping off as I ran it, and I wasn't even sitting on it. Also I think that my blend door finally went out on me at 92k. Lots of fan noise and very little air blowing out. I think it lasted this long since I leave it on recirculate most of the time. I think that I will do a search for the orthoscopic repair method, or try something new I have in mind if it looks like it will work. The old girl just wants a little attention.
