I have a 2001 Ram with about 2500 miles on it. I live on top of a hill that is rather steep. It seems to me that when I first got the truck I could go up that hill doing 45-50 mph and I could maintain that speed in OD and it would take allot for it to kick out. Now when I go up it I lose speed and it kicks out of OD alot faster. It seems not to have the pull like it use to. I have checked all hoses and clamps but find no problem. Is there any other thing I could try? The truck seems to have alot of pull when I get on it. I appreciate any help on this.

2001. 9 QC, LB, Auto, Forest Green, Westin Bars, Leer Cap, and all the goodies.....

I read somehwere here on the TDR that there was a Re-Flash for that exact problem, low power in overdrive. I dont know for what years though, try a search.

Emddiesel is right... . There is a TSB for this problem, with an reflash as the cure. Good luck if you go to a dealer:).

Doug

Honestly Craig,

The reflash might be a solution... But I'm willing to bet its all in your head. . cause you are getting used to the truck. Or... . maybe that just happened to me... NEVERMIND. .

Either way, I am prescribing a healthy dose of injectors and a little black Box to cure the sick Cummins.

And a DTT TC & VB for the sick auto transmission. .

This medicine will not only cure the illness... but she'll want to start tracking down other sick trucks... Victims are generally wearing little bowties or blue blobs on the grill.

:D :D :D

TSB

I looked at the Fritz site.

The TSB is 18-024-00 for low power in OD

Tom

P. S. I have lost some power in OD as well with 11K on truck, I may have to try the flash. If they 5 star it up then Bombs Away!!!
