Does anyone have any experience with Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement? I saw it at Autozone tonight for $4. 99 / 32 oz which will treat 100 gal. of fuel. I'm trying to choose products that are readily available, but don't want to compromise. More info at http://www.powerservice.com/docs/dfs_n.html

I have used it seems to work ok. The fuel pump is not as noisy, and milege is a little better also.

Wally World sells it here in TX for 3. 47 / 32 ozs. I have been using it and seems to work as well as Stanadyne. It even smells about the same. The Wally World here has both the PS Diesel Supplement and the Cetane Boost.

Ken,

What BigCarl64 said. I'm not a big fan of WalMart but they sell PS additive for less than $10. 00 dollars a gallon around here.

I started using PS after learning that, here at work it was all they used in there equipment. This is aircraft ground servicing equipment that sits out all year. No gelling problems, and no starting problems.

After using Stanadyne for many years I switched to PS Cetane boost a couple months ago. If you're going to use an additive I don't feel it's that great to be changing brands all the time. PS is more widely available than any of the others and seems to work just as well. Price is right also,I pay $10. 99/ga at NAPA,my closest Wally World is 200 miles.

I've been using Power Service in every tank since October. No gelling, and my truck seems to like it. I paid $9. 95 for a 96 oz. bottle at Wally World - once! Then I found out Fleet Farm sells the 96 ouncer for $6. 95. Guess where I buy it from now? Howard, are you listening? Sorry to the rest of you guys - I think Fleet Farm is mostly a Wisconsin store.

I haven't tried Power Service however, I have used Red Line 85+ every tank full from 3k to about 40k, switching to Amsoil Diesel Fuel Concentrate at 40k to about 50k again, at every fill up. I just switched over to Stanadyne Performance Formula (Blue) which I purchased from D. I. S. , and have found an increase in mileage that I have not experienced with either of the other two products. I will report more after fully validating the actual numbers (after several more fill ups).

Just got turned on to it this past year. It was sub-zero for some good stretches too this winter. Good stuff I don't recall prices, but I got a little bottle from Wally World and then got a big ole jug from Farm and Fleet (yes it and Fleet Farm are pretty much juct around our region). On our farm we have a 500 gal road diesel tank (10,000 red stuff tank). My neighbor friend treats his 500 gal tank and adds some when he fuels up during winter. The extra lube is nice for the newer Cummins...

It's still there, there's one in Omak also, actually closer for me,but still over 50 miles. Is that what you guys mean by Wally World ?I thought you were talking about something else.

Power Service year round. New cetane boost formula makes it just that much sweeter.

Based on the advice gathered here, I use it. And I like it. No problems.

My experience with PS is improved driveability and smoothness, reduced smoke, and their Centane enhancer stuff works well too. The downside is it did little to keep my injectors clean, the stockers were very carboned up with only 15k miles using PS about half of my tanks. I ran Super Lubricity Formula most of the time.

Lately I've been running Marvel Mystery Oil which helps it run every bit as well as with PS, probably better.
