I've been wanting one of these bad. Sure would be nice to hit a button to open & close the back window since it's so hard to reach. Is there anyone else interested? I've found a company that sells them for the below prices. If we can find 20 people interested it would be great. Of course installation would have to be done locally.
Sorry, but I don't have the web site on me. I'll try to find it and post it later.
If we get enough people, one of us will order 1st, if they like it, the rest of us will order. If not, they can return it.

1-5 $349. 95 + Shipping
6-9 $340. 00 + Shipping
10-15 $330. 00 + Shipping
16-19 $320. 00 + Shipping
20- + $300. 00 Free Shipping

Post here if interested.

I'll take one. My truck got broken into so I am looking to get a power slider anyways. I would like to know if it's a single or double slider.

Sorry to hear your truck got broken into. The good news is, if the window was damaged, insurance will pick up at least part of the cost.
It appears to be a single window slide. I found the web site: http://www.trucknvans.com/tsliders.htm
Not a real lot of info there, but it gives an idea.

I would definently be interested in this. The one I am interested in is made by Lawrence or something like that. I believe it's a single slider and of good quality. I'd have to search a bit to find it but this is one mod I have wanted to do.

In the email I received back from the company, they advised a professional glass installer would be the way to go. The installer will be the warranty for leaks, so I would recommend having someone install the glass, and maybe do the wiring yourself. Typically glass install runs about $50.

Randy, check this out, or is it the same window? Larry

Larry, no it's not the same window. The one I had posted is only 1 sliding pane. This one looks pretty good, and starts out cheaper ($325 vs. $350). However, if we get 20 or more people interested, it'll cost $300 with no shipping (right now there's only 6 interested - that would cost $340 + shipping). If you'd like to check with these guys and find out about warranty & group discount, I'd be willing to go with them instead. I wouldn't be able to check with them for a few days, I'm teaching this week. I just want a power slider so I can open & close the back glass without having to stop and climb in the back of the cab!

The slider is probably made by C. R. Laurence Co. Inc. They have a website at:

<http://www.crlaurence.com>

It's called the PowrSlider, and it is a single piece slider. I have one on my QC and am very pleased with it. I mounted the control switch down on the seat where the controls would be if I had power seats. The motor is attached to the end of a 3 or 4 foot flexible cable and mounts on the floor of the cab up against the back wall. Unless you have experience in an auto glass shop, this is NOT a backyard install!! You could, however, get the glass shop to only install the window, then do the wiring and mounting of the remote motor yourself and save a few bucks.

Thanks Tommyturbosaurus, I really like the sounds of the one Yogibear posted on, since the motor is incorporated with the window. Looks like there's only going to be 5 or so of us, so no big discount. The one from ustrucks was a little cheaper so that may be the way to go. Thoughts anyone?

Ok guys, here's what I've found. The one that US Truck Accessories sells is no longer available. I've tracked down a few others, but looks like the prices below are the best deal. I found a local dealer that will sell them for $365, didn't press him for a group discount, but I can check on that if ya'll are interested.

1-5 $349. 95 + Shipping
6-9 $340. 00 + Shipping
10-15 $330. 00 + Shipping
16-19 $320. 00 + Shipping
20- + $300. 00 Free Shipping

Here's the web site if you want to check them out:http://www.trucknvans.com/tsliders.htm

Here's the other one that sounded promising, but I forget what the price would be: http://www.crlaurence.com

If ya'll are still interested, let me know and I'll see if I can firm up some prices and details.

Yes, the C. R. Laurence single sliding window is tinted about the same as the rear side windows in the QC. It's a nice piece.

I'm interested as long as it is tinted!!

Tommy, do you remember who you got yours from? If so, I can try there. Other wise, I have a whole list of dealers to call to try to get the best price. As soon as I know something I'll let you know (probably early next week - unless they're open today). I think we have about 5 people ordering, but I'll try to get an open ended "group price".
