Just got my truck back from the dealer, they replaced my track bar and power steering box. They also did an alignment and now my steering wheel is off center:( but at least I got a new track bar and steering box( lots of after market stuff)

But the big question is after they replaced my steering box, the steering is a lot stiffer than before, I checked fluid levels and their fine. I was wondering if there is an easy way to make an adjustment with out messing things up. It looks like there is somekind of adjustment scew on the opposite end of the pitman shaft. Thanks for any lind of help. .

Same thing here when they replaced my steering box. A mechanic told me they were proloading the steering boxes to help with steering wander complaints. The over-center adjustment is the one that makes it feel tight.

You can adjust the drag link to get your steering wheel level if you dont want to take it back and this adjustment wont affect the alignment.

Here is a link on how to adjust the steering box.

The overcenter adjustment can be made on vehicle, just put a dab of paint on it so you have a reference point. If your brave enough, try loosening the screw 1/8 - 1/16 turn.
