I am having some major issues with the old truck right now. It has been pretty cold up here in Alaska lately and my power steering had been doing the old growl until it warmed up. I was also having some issues with my brakes in that during my first application after starting the truck the fronts would lock up, the right side more so and would almost prevent me from moving. I have even had to back up to unlock them. Then finally the other day I was moving my truck from the street to driveway, shut it off, and then heard the noise. It was power steering fluid puking from the resevoir cap. It was late so the next day I checked it and there was still some left so I pulled it into the garage but had no steering or brakes or it was very hard. I pulled the pump and checked it out thinking it is bad. I am just not sure if I should get a new one or if it is something else. Napa has the best price with one in stock right now, as I am pretty strapped for time. I am pretty stumped right now if it is the pump or maybe something else. I could sure use some help on what steps to take. Thanks. and sorry this is so long.

When mine started puking it was the booster that had failed. That could explain your brake problems.
