2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Power Steering fluid ?

I Have a 99 Dodge cummins and wanted to know what kind of fluid to use in the power steering . I called both Dodge dealers in my area and they both told me truck was to old they can't remember and its not in their books!!! can you believe that @#"$ guess they will never see my truck for service. #@$%!

I used the valvoline synthetic in my 01, eliminated the cold weather growl.

Amsoil here.

To be specific, use power steering fluid, not ATF. And a good synthetic is even better.

I have used the Valvoline synthetic before - it's good stuff. I am using Amsoil currently.



I change it out every year.
