Power Steering Fluid

Checked my power steering fluid yesterday and found it on the Add line. Dropped by the Dealer today and ask for Power Steering Fluid for an 03 Ram Diesel and was promptly given a quart of Mopar power steering fluid for Dodge. I came home and added about 3 ozs of a clear fluid before I realized it was clear. The real stuff is red. Now I'm old enough to know that you never trust a parts guy but really did think power steering fluid was a no-brainer. Wrong. Now I want to know if the stuff I put in will do any harm.



I should have used ATF+4.

Very true. The new 03's use ATF+4 fluid in the power steering units.
