Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Power Steering issues, cleaning filter?

Has anyone tried this. If so how did it go and what does a guy need to watch for when the parts come out. How can you drain the fluid completely, do the lines have to come off. Is there a technic for bleeding this pump and removing the air.
