Archived power steering leak

drove truck into garage on sat. morning then on sun. morning noticed big puddle of power steering fluid on floor. looks like coming out of cap. need truck for work on mon. any help would be great.

after doing a search on subject i did a couple tests and came up with wheels off ground motor not running going lock to lock it pushes fluid out of cap, with motor running lock to lock fluid stays in fluid level is low and does have bubbles in it. when i shut the motor down fluid level starts to rise . i did notice the brake peddle feels like it has an extra pulse or something . it defintley feels a little different.

new info bleed power steering fluid , removed old fluid added new , and took test drive seemed ok did the rolling brake check with engine off and no brakes. from what i read the blue thing near master cylinder is the culprit. what exactly is it how do you replace it ,and where do you get it. is it safe to drive a couple days until i get the part to fix it. thanks for any info

thanks for the info. do you think that if the nitrogen canister blew the seal that it would make the ps fluid leak out of the cap.

Yes the nitrogen charge will fill the fluid with tiny bubbles and cause it to over flow. You may find parts here: hydroboost.com .
