Dad called from New Mexico last night and said while going downhill with the travel trailer, the power steering puked out all the oil. Refilled and no more problems. Any Ideas?
Mine did the same thing kinda. It was about a year ago I parked it for a couple of hours and went to leave and noticed a puddle of fluid. Filled it up again and have not had a problem since. Kinda a weird one if you ask me... ... .
If you have hydrolic boosted brakes there is a pressure accumulator so that you have power braking a few times even after the engine is off. If somthing let all that pressure out it could overflow the pump resevoir. Just a guess.
