Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Hello,
Thought I would let everyone know that the dealership found metal shavings in my PS reservoir so they are replacing the pump, reservoir, and steering gear under my extended warranty. They also replacing the pinion seal on my front axle since it has been weeping for some time now.
I also wanted to thank fellow TDR member 100Proof for doing the write up on the O-Ring between the pump and reservoir as I originally thought that was the problem.
Lastly, I work with computers and phones (Technology items in general) on a daily basis and I normally do not opt for extended warranties, but this will probably be the third time my warranty will have paid for itself. I lost the lift pump back in 01/06 and also had a couple of issues when I first got the truck 3. 5 years ago.
