Do I Have A Problem With 03???

while searching for the needle fitting that allows front shaft lubrication, I noticed fluid on the bottom of what I believe is the power steering pump. On closer exam, the pressure lines on the pump's topside were wet with fluid also. I've read (here) about this unit's tendency to fail and I would like to ask those who are experienced if I should try to tighten the hose fittings or not touch it until the dealer does? The p. s. reservoir fluid level is yet o. k. I never found the front shaft's grease fitting. Old age is cruel to rob one of his vision at under-truck distances. 05' /QC/G56/4x4/LWB. I just realized I posted in the wrong forum. Please excuse, I don't know how to move it.

your in the right posting area don't worry. anyways sounds like the same problem i had. my line was leaking and the fluid was ok still. i just took it back to the dealer made an appointment and received my truck back that same day. they ended up replacing the line. i would take it back just in case if they start to say someone was messing around with the fittings. (voided warrenty issues). i was thinking the same thing, just do it myself, but didn't chance it. hope this helps.

I've got two dealerships nearby and my only visit to one was as if a nightmare were continuing after awakening. Needless to say I'm intimidated by the prospect of a repeat performance at the second and am wary of 'touching' anything more complicated than an oil/fuel filter. . lest I void something ( including myself ). Your advice is genuinely appreciated and is in line with those historical posts I researched. Thank you again. Merry Christmas.

I just had my line replaced friday morning, took the dealer about an hour, the line that was leaking was the one going up to the brake booster, the line with the weight and the crimped sleeve in the midle of the line, it started leaking at 22000 miles.

while there they also did the TSB and relaced all my door seals, what a differance that made no wind noise at all now.
