The oil fell out as I pulled in the driveway tonight. Have new one on bench now, anybody have any good advise before I tear into it?

I'll reply to myself

For anybody coming across this in a search, i'll reply to myself to say it wasen't that hard. Took me 3 hours and it would have taken 2 if I would have known about the back bolt on the pump going thru a support that hangs it on the block. Cummins told me that they show you taking the hole vacuum pump ps pump assembly off in one piece, I see no reason for this but thats how I did it. It just makes for more pieces you have to clean once you expose the elements to them. Take the battery out, charge air tube, pull the hoses, 4 bolts and its yours. 308. 72 at dc for a new pump and about 4 bucks for some semi synthetic ps oil.

I don't know what it's like on an ISB but on a 12 valve you can't take the P/S pump alone because there is not room to slide it back as it hits parts of the P7100 pump. Glad you got it done ok.
