Does any one know the part # for the seal where p/s pump goes into the vacum pump it is leaking there, thanks. #@$%!

Power steering leak or engine oil leak?? Vacuum pump kit can be had from Pete Gould or I think Geno's has them. P/S seal can best be repaired with a reman pump. Resonably priced from NAPA.

Seal kit is Cummins part # 4089742, about $10 from Cummins. Comes with the seal, instructions (w/ pictures), vac pump internal o-rings, and vac pump gasket.

What year is your truck? The vacuum pump seal kit fits 91. 5/95 or 96/02. Geno's has them, they are kind of spendy at $60. 00 but they come with seal drivers and two sets of seals, incase you ruin the first set.

Thanks for the info. got 1 ordered today,it was engine oil leaking & pump has been growling when it gets warm. Truck is a '96 w/350,000.

The kit from Genos is worth it if you have never done this repair before. It comes with written instructions and a video. Also the man who puts the kit together MR. Gould gives you his phone to give him a call if you have any questions. I also did my vacuum pump, and it still leaked. It turned out to be the power steering pump. I replaced it with a new PSC ps pump and redid the vacuum seals. No leaks.

Put on new pump & new seals, had to clean paint off of pump where the housing goes on pump so it would set flush. It growls just as bad as the old pump did. going to put on a new pressure hose to see if that helps, steering box is only 1yr. old. Any ideas why it still growls & turns hard at a idle, air in system should be gone after 2 days of driving?thanks for all the replies.
