power steering pumps 4b

my buddies and I have put 4b's into our wheeling trucks. he recently had a power steering pump failure, mostly with the front gear and adapter. his a direct drive pump. it came out of a chevy chasis bread van. can anybody tell me where to get the thing rebuilt. It broke the shaft inside of it and cummins wants a fortune for parts. will buy any spare parts you may have. It doesn;t have any other accessories just the power steering pump. thanks

stude just get a gm gasser pump take the pully off bolt the adapter on pres the gear on and go I work on bread trucks thats what they send us when we need one

that's what I told my buddy also, but he said there was something different about the way it adapted. I haven't seen it first hand but, it must be something different for him to ask for help since he's really handy. can you think of anything else that may be specific to the gear or adapter.

some of the trucks have different tanks on them but the pump is the same some have metric bolts holding the adaptor on. Does he have a vac. -ps pump? or straight ps pump? without seeing it its hard to tell could be anything I am sure they used several diff pumps depending on application
