Been searching for a while and I can find a ton of stuff on leaky PS systems. I am specifically looking for information on flushing the power steering system though.

My reservoir was wet the other day so I wiped it down and took the cap off to just see what was going on and that thing was WAY too full. I pulled some of the fluid out of it today and it was pretty nasty looking stuff. I thought it might be a good idea to drain and refill the system to clean it up a little bit. Anybody done this before?

Truck is out of warranty so I don't have to worry about anything there.

Thanks,

Jeff

Undo one of the return lines. Put a line into a bucket, a line into clean PS fluid and let it pump through until it's clean. turn teh wheel back and forth.
