Power Vision Mirrors

Has anyone installed or repaired these mirrors? If so how hard was it to replace parts? Mine do not extended anymore and I am going to call Power Vision Mirrors about replacement parts but was wondering how hard it would be to replace parts on the mirrors.

If both mirrors are not extending, I'd suspect the problem is in the Powervision add-on toggle switch or wiring.

If the motor runs but it does not extend, there is a clutch on the motor that need to be tightened. E-mail Powervision and they will email you the instructions to fix just about anything with the mirrors.



After a while mine would not extend, but only intermintently. I tightened the clutches up on the motors and they work perfect again.

I had them on the '01. I backed into my shop and broke one. Powervision sent me the parts for the repair. It was not too difficult. If you installed them you can repair them.

I talked with Power Vision yesterday and they are sending the parts. I did not install the mirrors but will try to repair them. Before the service dept took the drivers side mirror apart, the passenger side extended but now it does not do anything. I am going to check the connections (I don't think the service dept put the connections back together). If it is a loose connection then I will just need to deal with the drivers side mirror. It used to extend (you had to help it by pushing on it) now it does nothing. I am really not liking my service dept here on Kodiak. Thank heavens I have my service manuals coming. I am going to get an education on diesel engines and automotive repair.
