2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Power Window

Seems my whole driver's door is acting up! :{ My inside door lock is dragging badly enough that the power motor can't unlock it fully. The speaker in the door is dying also.



Now, the autodown on the power window is not working most of the time. Sooo... .



Seeing as it looks like I'll be pulling the door panel soon, does anyone know if the auto down function is built into the switch?

It is a tertiary function of the switch. The relay is driven via the pcm with feed back from door limit switch.



Sounds like you have a wiring problem, grab the booted loom that flexes between door and cab and shake the heck out of it. If the problem goes away and function of acesseories returns; bad harness. If this dosen't work look at the connection of the harness and where it mates the cab. Moisture could be a problem with the connection. You live in a salty road area. Do this before the door panel removal. It's easier. Mike

Thanks Mike, I'll give it a try. Door panel has to come off for the speaker anyway but it's good to know about the harness.
