I had this bright idea of bypassing the relay for the power windows so that I could raise and lower them without having to have the key on. I was searching the web for some wiring info and I ran across an article about how many kids (even some teenagers) are strangled to death on power windows every year. I never would have guessed how often it happens. I had seen a couple posts on here where somebody mentioned that they'd like to have power to their windows without the keys and on the surface I thought it sounded like a neat idea, but since I don't have young ones around the house any more I didn't even consider kiddos. At any rate, I nixed that idea.

I did it to my '01 (windows hot all the time) and loved it. But I didn't have kids then. If I still owned it I'd put it back to stock for their safety.

From being a previous owner of a chevy truck, I do miss having the power to the windows staying on after you turned the truck off. As long as you or someone else didnt open a door. And the radio stayed on as well... but I am happier with the dodge.

That is an excellent idea I hadn't thought of. That may work very well for me. I'll look into it, but it looks like it should also work on th e03. Much thanks!

I don't think it'll be so easy on the '03. They don't have the window and seat circuits in a convenient fuse box inside the truck. You may have to do some wiring modifications under the dash instead. At least that's the conclusion I came to when I looked into this nearly a year ago.
