I have fully manual seats in my truck, if I find a good deal on a powered seat at a junkyard, will it go in my truck or will I need a bunch of wiring harness's etc?

You can probably pull the front seats out and pull the carpet back. There may be a wire harness under the carpet already.

I looked under my 02 seat awhile back when I was looking for an easy power source. I did not see the wiring harness as in my 95 and my dad's 01 with power seats. Unless they leave it under the carpet like Ryan said, you might need to run some power to it.

I don't have power seats. Having gutted the cab for a noise reduction project, I didn't find any ancillary harnesses. The only harness I have is the seat belt monitor. So, when you do your power seat shopping, try to get any wires attached to it as far back as you can.

Hey, I got power windows :)

If there isn't an existing harness under the seat, you'll need to get one. On my 2004 (with power/heated seats) there is a multi-pin harness (10 wires in all) that comes through the carpet and plugs into the seat wiring. That being said, I don't think you'd be able to wire a single 12vDC power feed to the seat switch. However, I could wrong. Like Boondocker said, when you buy the seat (like from a junkyard), make sure you get the entire wire harness along with it. Usually you can get junkyards to throw that kind of stuff in with the sale for free. Good luck. If you really want to do it right, refer to a shop manual that specifically covers your year truck and wire it the way the the factory does. This will save you a lot of potential problems and aggrevation.
