UNDER THE HOOD IS THE POWERSTROKE V-8 DIESEL THAT WAS MODIFIED BY EAST TEXAS TRUCK PARTS WORLD. THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, HE MADE MY FACTORY 295 H. P. POWER STROKE INTO A 495 H. P. MONSTER.
WE KNOW IT'S 495 H. P. BECAUSE HE HOOKED IT UP TO THE DYNO. IT ALSO INCREASED THE TORQUE BY 300.
HE DID THIS BY PUTTING THE 125 H. P. CHIP IN IT, K&N AIR FILTER, AND 3 1/2" INTAKE ON THE TURBO. MUFFLER WAS REMOVED TO GIVE IT A LITTLE MORE UMPFFF AS WELL.
IT WILL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT TO DO. THE GUY THAT DID THE WORK TOLD ME THAT IT WILL MELT THE MOTOR DOWN BEFORE YOU WILL EVER SEE IT STOP TURNING RPM'S.
I HAVEN'T TESTED THIS THEORY, JUST TOOK HIS WORD FOR IT. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO TELLING HOW FAST OR HOW MUCH IT WILL PULL.
I RECENTLY DROVE IT TO DENVER, CO. A 2000 MILE ROUND TRIP AND GOT 22. 6 MPG. THIS WAS WITH THE CRUISE SET AT 75 MPH.
I HAVE A BROTHER-IN-LAW THAT HAS THE DODGE 1 TON WITH CUMMINS HIGH OUTPUT THAT SAYS IT WON'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO COMPETING WITH MINE.
WE HAVEN'T TESTED THAT THEORY EITHER.
IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN SERIOUS MUD, BUT I FEEL PRETTY CERTAIN THAT IT WOULD GO ANYWHERE YOU WANT IT TO GO.
I'VE ONLY HAD IT IN 4WD A COUPLE OF TIMES, AND THAT WAS TO KEEP MY TIRES FROM SPINNING IN MY YARD AFTER IT RAINED.
THERE IS NO MORE WARRANTY ON THIS VEHICLE, BUT FORD DOES OFFER SOME EXTENDED WARRANTIES THAT ARE PRETTY GOOD.

All things aside, it looks like a nice truck.
I ask you this: Is this how Ford sells so many trucks???? Their customers have ABSOLUTE faith in the product,(s) and the advertising? Don't they question anything?
