Another rear brake adjustment story

Hi!
I have read the very informative posts about 1st time BOMBING. I would like to do some moderate adjustments to gain some low-end torque on my '99 3500 4x4 Quad Cab w/5-sp manual transmission and 3. 55 ltd. slip rear. Has anyone out there tried TST's PowerMax 2? What are your results? I've noticed 'need' of more grunt hauling a heavy 27'-5" 5th wheel, especially up some of the grades here in Colorado. And yes, I already have a JakeBrake to help on going down the same grades and assisting with warm-ups!

Howard--I just installed a PowerMax 3 adjustable in the same truck as yours except a 2500. I will tell you that I will probably not use more than the original Powermax setting for towing. Very noticable increase even at this setting. I have only pulled the trailer down the highway and there is a huge difference, but I will reserve more coments until I get it in the hills. Very nice product and service.

Howard the nice thing about the PM3 is that it is what I refer to as "wife proof". I talked to Mark at TST and with the box installed you can turn it to #1 which is only 15hp added over the stock setup. thus when the wife has to drive it, or should I say, when you HAVE to let the wife drive it, #ad
she can do it without an engineering degree, and you wont have to worrry about that famous line "honey there's something wrong with your truck" #ad

I also have the PowerMax3 adjustable... great power for the price. A quick look at the power numbers compared to the other fueling boxes sold me. Also, Mark at TST has been very good.

I bought the original Powermax when they first came out (first box on the market, btw). That was a year ago last september. I added the 275hp RV injectors last september and just upgraded to the PM3 2 weeks ago. The power of this box is unreal. If you're spending the money I'd recommend just buying the PM3 with remote so that you don't have to buy another box down the road. You won't be able to run in the top levels until you buy another clutch but you'll have them there when you do. I'm running a 16. 3@92. 8 mph 1/4 in my truck right now (according to a g-tech) and the powermax is starting to defuel the last 10 mph of that 1/4 because of my 4. 10 gears. That will be solved soon with a custom box and I may be close to 15's after that!
