Questions: Is this something you can shut off?



Is this program-able, or is the HIGH EGT preset?



If it is preset then what is the preset temp?



What do you guys recommend with gauges or without?

The EGT limit can be set by the user on the fly with the display/control module. I'd recommend (and I chose) with gauges, specifically for this feature.

Set it wherever you like. If you don't like the feature set it up at 1600° or some other crazy number and it won't bother you I like the digital gauges.

If the TST is set to 0 so you are running stock settings will the EGT still restrict fuel if the Hi setting is reached? I have the EGT set at 1300

I dyno'd my truck on 0/0 and saw 258hp@457ft/lbs I would have thought the torque would have been around 550 where the truck makes 600ft/lbs on motor.



At 3/3 I made 360hp @625ft/lbs But thought maybe the EGT of the TST was limiting my torque?

Generally you achieve peak torque before the egt's get to their max, I doubt that was your problem. If the temp limiter cuts it off the 4 little lights (the decimal points) on the temp display will flash for a couple seconds. As far as I know, it still works on 0 but I've never tried it.

You can also turn the EGT limiter off. The EGT limiter goes as high as 1700 or 1770(maybe higher, can't remember exactly), but after you get past the highest EGT setting the screen will read "OFF" and you hold the gray button until the TQ setting comes up and the EGT limiter is turned off. You can check it by going back to the EGT screen and it should still read "OFF. "
