Fuel Problem

I have been shopping for a chip already for my 05 (610). I have found numerous, but the tst powermaxcr stands out because of its advertised +190hp and +580ft lbs of torque, these numbers are considerable better than any other chip or electronic upgrade for my truck. Is the powermaxcr a good product? As good as any other? Does anybody already have one? NEED HELP? PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE BEST CHIP!!!!

If you run a search you will find hunderds of satified replies! The ad on box debates continue and have been covered in detail.

I've used TST before and I more than likely will on this truck. The nice thing about this unit is that with all the adjustability you can grow into it as you make modifications to your truck. I assume you have addressed the intake and exhaust situation. Do you plan on getting analog gauges or do you plan to get the TST with built in digital gauges? How about the transmission? The TST on full power will over power the transmission. Not saying you can't run the unit, but be careful beforee you crank it up all the way.

I'm super happy with mine. I've seen 129hp gain at the rear wheels. I was doing a burnout because of the 35" tire I have. So how exact that is I don't know. Plus I was losing fuel pressure. Either way that's a huge gain at the rear wheels. I love it.

Im currently running a tst stacked with an edge ez and i am really happy with the power. The only real problem ive hit is no fuel pressure on higher levels, and you have to watch your egt's, other than that it will really scream.

It seems to be one of the best stackable chips (with pressure), But at times I can be a bit strong and violent on the drivetrain

For around $1100, I have went from 196hp... to 437, and neither chip on kills mode, I am one happy dude

do you mean to say on a 325/610 we will see a gain of those numbers?? wonder what part fails first?

My sentiments exactly... .

Installed my PMCR from the 04. 5 to the 05 this weekend - seeing higher EGT's and peaking boost to 43 PSI - on 4-4 - the highest setting I ever ran with this box... (most I ever saw on the 04. 5 was 38 PSI)

My gear ratio was 4:10 on the 04. 5 and 3. 73 on the the 05 - could this a reason for the differences?

I don't have the 325 motor. I have a SO 235. (good 'ol California). At the time of the dyno run I didn't have my AirDog in. So I know I was losing fuel pressure. You could hear it. Not sure what the new numbers are going to be. I just ordered a HTB2 today and plan on stacking an EZ on. It'll be on the dyno in Feb.

TST does make a great product and they certainly stand behind it as well. They were great to deal with when I had my 2000 with the PowerMax 1 and then 2 in it. Take note though that if you read the fine print on thier web site that the +190/+580 was made with modifications to the fuel system- namely a pusher fuel pump. Also I believe that those gains were made on an older SO engine. I think it also states that the newer HO and 600 engines will not see such a large gain. You will certainly notice a gain though!

Had the Bullydog Power pup. .

Now I have the TST. I know I made the right choice now. All the power you will need and then some. Quality product.
