Is there a max boost that the PowerMaxCR can register? I thought I read that the max is 39 but I might be wrong. I also did a search of TST in the 3G but found three pages and only read through 1. 5 so I figured I would ask.
Upon installing a larger turbo i inquired tst about the boost gauge and was told it was accurate to 50 psi. i think they were wrong because on a another truck with twins and a pillar mounted gauge the tst pegged at 40 psi and the pillar gauge read over 70. so i think the tst guage is not accurate over 40 psi.
The TST only reports what the ECM is reading and it is only programmed to "see" boost to 40 psi. Pre-2003 24 valver's ECM's read up to 60 psi of boost. The readings that the ECM see's are very accurate up to their limits.
The powerMax plugs in between the map sensor and the ECM so would the mapsensor be the limiting factor. I have only seen a max of 39 and it is approached rapidy so I would think it should be higher.
