Attention CON OFE Owners:

Ok, anyone else having issues with their no-slip coming unlocked when spinning? It mostly happens on wet pavement for me, it'll start to spin both, get a tiny bit of wheel hop, more like a vibration than true wheel hop, but then it will let one side go. I haven't had a real good chance to test on dry pavement except for going sideways for about a block, then woosing out and letting off. :) I'll try power-braking on dry pavement as soon as the opportunity arrives, but I have a feeling it'll unlock on me. Anyone else experience this? It's pretty annoying after buying a locker to stop the one-legged spinning. Also, it's all installed correctly, a bit on the tight side. I've called powertrax (richmond gear now), and they said "it shouldn't do that". quite helpful. They did offer to look at it if I sent it back... just figured I'd see if anyone else has had problems before I ship it off.

My No-Slip never did work properly. It would let go and I actually got stuck in my own driveway (rock) turning out of my garage. I worked with Powertrax at that time to see what could be done. They stated I was running too thick of rear end lube (75w-140). I changed out the diff lube to Mobil 1 75w-90. No change and I also checked the lube for metal particals to see if there was a breakage problem in the No-Slip. The lube was as clean as you could expect. I finally took the parts back out and sent them in to Richmond Gear (by this time they had bought out Powertrax). I had talked to the people at Richmond Gear several times before and they said sending it in was the only thing I could do.

When they inspected my returned parts, I was told they were not machined properly. I eventually worked it out with the company I purchased through and Richmond Gear and received a refund. I called Richmond Gear just a week ago and was told they are not making this part for the Dana 80 at this time and did not know when they would go back to manufacturing it. I just brought home a Tractech Detroit Locker No Slip carrier and hopefully will have it in in the next week to see what it offers.

Also, as a side note, when I did remove the rear axle cover I checked the clearance between the halves and it was good. Not too tight and not loose.

Thanks a lot for the info. I hadn't read anything bad about them until now... Guess I'll be sending mine back and see what they have to say about it.

Thanks again,
