What is our world coming to

Ford has a better idea

my sister's boyfriend was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident

he was wearing a helmet... it saved his life!

he lost control and left the road and caught a road sign that almost ripped him in half...

he lost pretty much all of his left delt muscles and some of the muscles in his wrist.

He's a strong mo-fo, and the doctors are amazed at how quickly he's been recovering, but he'll lose a lot of quality of life by losing much of the function of his left arm.

He's not out of the woods as far as infection, etc. They're not even going to start surgery untill they're sure he's past infection (probably due to lack of insurance)

My sister has been living at the hospital for the past few days and she/they/we could really use your thoughts/prayers/etc.

WEAR YOUR GEAR!!!! :(

All too often I see people riding with shorts, tank tops, sandals, and a helmet.

Wear your leathers people... . please.

Prayers for a healthy recovery and successful physical therapy.

My prayer's go out to you and your family! I hope he recover's quickly and hope his arm will be alright. I just bought a bike last spring('07) and this type of thing is alway's in the back of my mind.

Prayers sent!

BTW, this wasnt in MN was it? Last sunday there was a biker that went off the road just a mile from my house. Closed it down to fly in a medivac helicopter, so it had to be serious. Thank goodness there isnt any flowers or a cross at the corner where the guy went off, as usually that means the worst. I just saw the paint stripes on the pavement from the accident investigation.
