i took my 99 3500 in for the 25000 mile dealer check up and they told me the front pads were worn 85%..... since 98% of my driving is hiway and empty that seemed strange... . they said the back ones were not even worn... also the FIRST thing each morning when i apply the brakes the first 2 or 3 times they lock up and jerk your neck bigtime... i am talking about backing out of the carport and then going SLOWly forward... after about 1/2 mile it doesnt do it again and wont do it all day... just after sitting overnight... . no leaks, no dirt... . what the hay is going on???? i have friends that got 70000 to 12000 miles before having to replace thier front pads... . and no jerking in the morning either..... thanks

Sounds like sticking calipers to me. The pins probably need to be polished and lubed. There have been quite a few posts on this subject. Do a search and read all about it.
