Pro Finish Whiplash Shifter

OK I may be a dullard, but I have been a helicopter mechanic most of my life. The instructions for the PREMO setup are lacking to say the least.



If anyone has this or has installed one, my questions are:

1. Where did you mount it?

2. Where did you connect your oil pressure and return lines?

3. what is the little clear hose and nipple tube in the bag with the cummins mounting bracket?

4. There is no mention about the small connector and very small hose on top of the unit that came pre-installed.

5. Common sense (if I had any) would tell me that oil needs to be drained to install the plugs in the side of the block?

6. and how bout the 2 pet-cock valves? should they be open or closed? The one that attaches to the side of the engine I think would have to be open, why have a closeable valve there in the first place?



Actually the other nipple tube with the smooth side and plastic yellow ring around it I assume goes thru one of the plugs in the engine to drain the oil back from the return line. How is this installed securely? Just sliding it through is not enough security for me.



If you have anything else to add please feel free to do so... I dont want this thing set up wrong and blocking my oil flow. Maybe one of you nice fellas would do a whole write up for other unfortunates like me:eek:
