Pulled the visor off, ground away the rust, filled the rust holes and bolt holes, sanded most of the second paint job and some of the original paint off, ground off the mounting pins for the ding strips, welded up the cracks in the bed corners near the tailgate, and have it ready to prime Monday. Then 3 days of block sanding before sealing painting and clear-coating. Trying to finsih within two weeks!

Shot the primer today, sand tommorrow. Hopefully shoot sealer coat, color coat and clear coats Wednesday and drive home thirty minutes later. That new booth is fantastic and the HVLP gun saved me so much paint I can probably paint my Vette with the leftovers!

Post pics of your progress if you can. I made the mistake of letting someone else do my paint and I KNOW I would have done better.

Sounds like a really hard project. I'm not much of a body man. . trucks that is... so it seems like alot of work. Must be nice to have the facilities to do it yourself.
Like the guys say, post some pics.

Jason

What paint are you using? My 93 is two tone, I think I am going to change the paint pattern. Are you going back with one color?

Shot it today, from 2:00 to 9:00! Dupont Chroma in black! Cost of materials was $374! I'll post pics when I figure how, and when I put all the bumpers, handles and such back on the truck.

Powder-coated the door handles and locks semigloss black today to match the paint I used on the badging and grille inserts. I s'pose I'll start on the intercooler install this afternoon so I'll have time to get the AC condensor fittings extended and a high pressure cutoff switch installed before I take my Alabama trip.
