I finally got around to getting gages after 46,000 mi. and have a question

about where to mount the Westach fuel pressure sending unit.

Geno's Garage supplied instructions recommending putting in on

the engine (so sender and hose rock/vibrate together) I did,

but have noticed a lot of other people mounting it on firewall.

Any thoughts on how well it will stand up to engine vibrations?

Welcome to the TDR. You need to fill out your signature so we know what year, what kind of transmission, 2500 or 3500, and what sort of mods you have so we can help you as much as possible when you ask questions. In this case we need to know if you have a 12 valve or 24 valve engine.

I originally mounted mine on the engine (bracket mounted on air horn near oil dipstick) , so as to vibrate with the engine, as recommended. However, after two sending units and a hose failed within six months, I moved the sender to the battery "J" hook on the driver's side. So far five months and no problems.
