pressure valve?

Has any one taken theirs apart? I removed the helicoil to see what's inside. A spring and metal plunger. It does seem to me that once it has been unseated why it would return closed once pressure is released. I'm looking for the size helicoil this is? Anyone. Thanks.

That was rhe first thing I thought of when I got my new one, but I was certain it was gonna be an odd sized heli-coil.
