Price for used truck

I am thinking of getting a used turbo diesel. It is an 89 4x4, automatic with A/C and pw windows. It is a regular cab. I have not test driven it yet but have looked it over and there are no leaks and the body is very straight. The odometer has just rolled over and the current owner says it just turned over 100,000. Any opinions or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I paid $13,700 for my 93 (see signature) back in December. (East Coast) When I looked at it there was a new set of tires on it and it only had 78k miles on it. Turns out, I should have tried to get it cheaper than I did as I had the transmission out within 2 months after I bought it. All in all though, $7k doesn't sound that bad unless it's a piece of junk! ... ... Racer
