Local fuel prices

Calling BS on this one!

At FlyingJ in Ripon, CA. , diesel that is already in the tanks has gone up $. 35/gal in the last hour.

This fuel was already paid for!! It went from $1. 59 to $1. 94. !

No my head is not stuck in the sand, I know about the many tragedies today however, FlyingJ if I recall does not use Imported fuel, it is all DOMESTIC!

If so, why such an increase and why so fast?

Heard from a very reliable source that the pipelines that carry oil in the US have been shut off to prevent spills in case of attack. Do not know any more details, but would assume that is the cause of the increase.

Coming to their senses?

Just checked the FlyingJ web-site, fuel in Ripon, CA. down to $1. 69.

Down $. 25 in the past few hours.

Maybe they've begun to see their greed doesn't fly in times like these.

$1. 44 to $1. 70 here in Dallas area and I live in the sticks, hate to see what it is up to downtown. Good to see that capitalisism is alive and well:rolleyes:

Approximately 60% of your fuel is made from oil that comes from middle east countries. After todays activities in New York and Washington we may not be friends with those countries much longer. Then where your fuel come from?

PLEASE get your legislators to back the opening of drilling in ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Reserve) in Alaska, the USA.

IF, there is no guarantee, oil is found there it will be 6-8 years before it comes down the pipeline. How much do you think fuel will be per gallon during that period of time?

Think about how your life would change if the above senario happens. What happens if there is no oil in ANWR??????????

What increase?

I filled up the truck yesterday at the Phillips 66 in Benbrook. $1. 39/gal like it has been for the last month. My brother went there this morning and he said that diesel was now $1. 38. I wish I had waited until today to fill up. BTW gas went from $1. 21 to $1. 28 which it was on Saturday when I put gas in the old gasser. At least someone is not buying into this hype.

Domestic oil.

I went on FlyingJ's web-site and looked at their oil field page (shows the locations of all their fields).

Every single, stinkin' one of them mo-fu's is in the U. S. How can they honestly cry about the imported prices?

Both my trucks just happened to be empty yesterday,so I had to fill them up. The prices were still the same as last week, but I heard of some places hiking it up slightly. I just saw on the news that the fuel prices are not to be going up at all and told the public to report any price gouging from stations to the authorities.

I work a few blocks away from the fuel distribution yard that supplies all of the stations in the Seattle/Tacoma area, and last night there was no truck activity at the yard.

Local AMPride (Cenex) really outdid themselves this time.

Yesterday: $1. 589/gal.

This morning: $1. 829/gal.

This evening: $1. 639/gal.

My wife topped off the Mommie van for over $2. 00/gal. at the local Amoco this afternooon

Conoco & SPUR were unchanged. GO FIGURE!

That doesn't mean those field supply 100% of their oil. Flying J is one of the smallest producers of gas and diesel in the country. Their one refinery in Utah only puts out 25,000bbls a day. Compare that to the one Conoco refinery in Lake Charles at 248,000bbls. Most of the Flying J's I've been to carry Conoco brand fuel. I work for Conoco. Here in Louisiana, we get 85% + of our oil from Mexico and Venezuala. The rest comes from local fields. That supply has not been interrupted by what happened in New York and Washington.

Trust me, I'm as outraged about some of the prices I've seen lately as you are.

all f'in J fuel in central ca comes from martinez at chev refinery, rack price did jump 25 cents in our area for about 8 hrs... ..... frotunately our station had no increases passed to us from the refiner, chevron... ... ...

WE have had no changes in gas prices in the last 48 hrs

You should all be happy you do not live near Detroit, MI. I have been paying $1. 74. 9 per gallon for BP/Amoco premium diesel. And

last tuesday, there were some F@#$ing Jack-a$$ Arabic owned stations in the area that decided to mark up gasoline prices after the New York Tragedy. The price went to $5. 00 per gallon at a station in Warren, MI and somewhere elso in the metro area, some LOSER was selling for $6. 29. The State Attorney General, Jennifer Granholm has stated that Michigan has a law against profiteering, and she will prosecute anyone selling gas in excess of $2. 50 per gallon. I heard the Warren jerk got arrested for it.

Real nice that you want to make money off an AMERICAN TRAGEDY. If you do not want to act like an AMERICAN, than be deported back to you own country... . Thats how I feel... .

A Sams Club in Plano, TX. was shut down due to price grouging last week. They were allowed to reopen and they lowered their prices. You can be assured that I will never buy anything at Sams or Walmart again. Where I buy my diesel the price went up . 04 a gallon.
