price on a 89 w250 rusted out?

hello i just found out i might be able to get a 89 thats rotted. i don't know what parts beside axles and tc would be the same as my 92 and 93, the owner says it has a four speed so i guess its not a getrag. are the intercooled and non intercooled motors similar or not. i might be able to get truck for under 1000 but not sure if its worth it for me.

If it runs, and the 4x4 works, it's worth $1500 or better, regardless of rust, unless it's just a shell barely sitting on the frame.



If it has a manual, it has a Getrag. They may just not be counting the granny low 1st or OD 5th.



There are a few differences between the IC and nonIC trucks- injectors, pump delivery valves, turbos (minor), grille/ core support, body trim molding. Major body parts will interchange, as will driveline parts.

They did make Gassers with four speed trannies. If it is a Cummins, there is no four speed for it unless there has been some drastic mods.
