I'm going to be swapping my chrome power mirrors for towing mirrors in the next few weeks and I want to see what you guys think would be a fair price, or even to let someone on the TDR to get an early shot at them before they go on ebay.

If you are interested email me at -- email address removed --

Otherwise, tell me what I should be asking for them. They are in good clean shape, no dings or scratches that i've noticed and work just fine. They will be equipped with the switch but without the wiring leading up to the pass. side door. The mirrors themselves will have complete wiring though- just to clarify.

Thanks, Kyle.

tow mirrors

Biggy,

Can I ask what was the best price you found on the TT mirrors?

Are they the factory tip out mirrors or after market?

Where are you getting them and are they heated and power?

I have done alot of research on these, but don't want to do the "buy two sets to make one set thing".

I found just the basic manual TT mirrors at my dealer for $185 wholesale.

It's my understanding that the mopar towing mirrors available for 2nd gen trucks are manual/no heat only.

And 185 I believe is cheaper than what I got mine for (they are a christmas gift i'll be getting). I'd like to have the 3rd gen power heated mirrors. No such luck.

This might be a little off but Id like to trade my 01 power heated for a set of towing mirrors. (they just dont cut it pullling a trailer) Anyone interested?

Can you hook the 03 power heated towing mirrors up to the 2nd gen trucks? is there any modifications that will be needed?

IColeman, do a search on the power/heated mirrors and prepare for some reading! If you don't mind buying a set of 2nd gen manual towing mirrors (for the bases) and a set of 3rd gen power/heated mirrors (for the heads) and doing some modifications, they'll work fine! I settled for the 2nd gen manual mirrors, how often do you have to adjust them anyways? Only when I flip mine do I have to change mine. FWIW

thats going to get a bit salty to purchase 2nd and 3rd towing mirrors!! Ah Id move them quite a bit during the summertime going from trailer to no trailer each day. I wouldnt have such a big deal if it didnt look so weird with the mirrors out and no trailer but its just something that bothers me I guess.

Ok Ive read a few of them! anyone just want to sell some to me hahah If DC would get there heads together or some aftermarket group would come out with this option they would make a killing. well what do you do with the unused parts! sell em on ebay and hope for the best?

I took awhile, but i found used bases for the 2nd generations to install 3rd generation power mirrors. Wireing a little tricky,

Yeah, the Dumbo ears with no trailer don't look right. I only tow my big trailer once a month or so, so it ain't THAT bad for me. Small trailers work OK with mirrors down.

I have a set of the powervision electric/heated mirrors off of my 99 I would like to sell. They have the bases powdercoated black, new cable and switches and I will include small convex mirrors to attach to the case. These do not have the turn signals in the mirror. PM if interested, not sure if I can put a price on here.
