priced out a 2002 and 2003

Talked to Dave Smiths in Kellog Idaho today and priced out a 2002 and 2003. The spec were as follows on both: 6spd, HO, Long box quadcab, 4x4, power seats, towing mirriors, travel convence package with trip computer, towing package, slt. 2002 price $33,403 minus 3,000 rebates = $30,403. . The 2003 came in at $33,800 with no rebates. I was going to buy the 2002 but may wait until spring and I am sure there will be some incentives for the 2003 which would make the price quite comparable. What to do what to do?

You can get a 2002 2500 SLT, auto, air, trailer tow, camper special in Oregon for $26,999 (ad in Saturday's paper - might even do better than that with some negotiation).

Dave Smiths also has one in the Paper up here for around 26k, but unfortunately its not a long box, no power seats or travel convenience package and most importantly it is not a high output. The 26k price is what got me excited, but this will be my 4th ram and I am kind of spoiled in what I want in my pickup. (first was a regular cab 1991 automatic, then a 1993 club cab, then the 97 and I made sure it had all the conveniences of home and have not regretted a minute of it) In fact I love the 97 so much that we are selling the wifes explorer and she will drive the 97. What a wonderful wife to let me have the new one. Thanks for the input.
