Pricing a 98

A buddy of mine has been looking for a 98 quad cab short box 4x4 for quite some time now. He thinks he should ba able to find one for under 20K. Do you guys think that's possible? I've been seeing them for around 22 to 25K. Any leads?

22 to 25k. Hey thats good news for me:-laf :-laf. I wanted 25 for mine but had no takers on this site.





You could probably find a high mileage one on Ebay but they do seem to hold their value from what I have seen.



I still would sell if your buddy has any interest in a 36k one

Anything is possible - There is a real clean 93 CC 4x4 5sp with a nice topper and 90k miles for 17. 5k in Estacada Oregon if anyone is interested. It's a Copper/Sand LE.

He's rather picky... This is what he is looking for. 98 to 2000, white, quad cab, short box, 4x4, auto for about 20K.

Here in Montana that would be too low. My 98 V-10 that was a 4x4 and @ 36,000 miles and very clean w/ 5 speed and typical power options sold for $19,500 just 4-5 months ago. At one point (4-5 months ago) I was looking for an "older" Cummins and a 98 was then @ $22,500-25,000 with lower mileage.

Well the search is over. He bought a truck tonight. 2000 quad cab short box 4x4 auto sand color with 50k on the speedo. $24000 out the door. We now have a new member of the diesel crowd. Now I need to get him on the TDR.

p. s. My burb w/ a first gen is faster He says he is going to wait for the warrantee to run out... yeh right! A couple more times of me leavin him at the stoplight will change his mind!
