Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Prime Loc fuel filter system

Does anyone know if a Prime Loc system, used on a 2001 24V Dodge will fit on a 1998. 5 24 v Dodge. I know, I could call Prime-Loc but they say all their system are 'model year specific'. Naturally, they want to sell me a new system. Anyone know for sure. thanks to all.
