Probably wrong forum, but here goes. I installed Prime Loc fuel filter relocation kit on 98. 5 24 V and WIF plug wont mate up with OEM plug in truck harness. Anyone had this problem. thanks.

I had one on my 99 because I loved the one on my 96. The 99 filter element fiters to a much smaller micron level. After a few thousand miles the filter element needs to be changed of performance suffers. This was before I Bombed the 99. With the lift/injector pump problems I would not use this system without 2 gauges and a sharp eye on pressure difference between them.

When they installed mine (blowing the cobwebs off my brain) they had to modify the connector on the truck. There was a rib or something on the connector that had to be cut off for it to fit into the fleetguard WIF sensor. If you compare the two connectors you can probably figure out what needs to be cut off.

I found my instructions. Here is a picture of what you need to do to modify the connector. This is the connector that's attached to the wiring harness - not the one on the WIF sensor.
