I have a clunking noise that I can't determine the source. The only way a can describe it is it sounds like I'm still locked in 4-wheel drive. I can only hear it when I'm making slow left or right turns in a parking lot. In 2x and 4x. I hear it when turning in gear and in neutral. I've check all u-joints, seems o. k. There seems to be a little play on the passenger side wheel bearing, but so slight I don't know if I felt it correctly. The steering stabilizer was leaking so I replaced that thinking it was the cause. Can still feel it with it on and off. Everything is well greased and can't see anything that's binding. Thank you for suggestions.

I had a similar clunk on my 96 3500 4x4. Turns out it was the passenger side u joint knuckle hitting on the inside of the axle tube. Only occurred when I turned sharply and appeared to be caused by wear. Short of changing all the parts (way to expensive) I learned to live with the clunk. :D
