Hey fella's,
I'm having a fuel fill up problem. It would seem that the issue is with the tube that protrudes into the filler neck near the top. I would suppose that the tube is a breather/overflow apparatus of some sort. The problem is that most (if not all now) of the nozzles at my favorite truckstop have a barb on the end of them. Presumably this is to hold the nozzle in those huge tanks that semi's have. The barb is tapered, and will usually slide by the little tube when I insert the nozzle in the filler neck, but it's a real pain to get out. I mean, both hands yanking, twisting, jerking, etc. to get the nozzle free.
My question is how to I "file/grind" that protruding tube down? Has anyone else run into this issue? I'm tired of diesel splattering all over the side of the truck when I violently remove the nozzle.
Thanks for the help,
