I hate to keep tying up the forum with computer questions re: these trucks but I get problems not covered in previous posts. Tried today to reset the fuel filter % gauge and I get a screen with a box in middle asking me to confirm reset. I cannot get around this message no matter what up or down or side arrow I push. Tried ignoring that and went thru the process of pressing the right arrow to reset. Nothing happens. Anyone have an idea what I am missing? Other than brain cells? I really dislike this computer stuff which I suppose is easy for some folks but not me. Laying myself out there again to beg for info. Please help this fool get thru this!!!!

Are you attempting to re-set with only the ignition ON or are you attempting to re-set while the engine is running???

Just with the ignition on. I can try to take a picture of the screen and post but I have had problems with that before. Remember, I am a computer idiot. The screen looks like what you would expect except for the message in the middle. I see the message at the bottom where it says to reset push the right arrow but that does not get me past the message. If there was a yes button re: the confirm question it might work but I have tried the arrow buttons and tried ignoring the message and going thru the procedure. Even tried pushing the go pedal three times. Nothing works so far to get a reset.

Once you are at the screen that says confirm, you have to shift to the down button and then when ok pops into the window, hit the reset. It's a pain in the butt until you figure it out.

My goodness. Thank you so much Fitzwater. That did the trick. I was at a dealer today and they told me to do the same thing the manual says and no one but YOU has suggested the down button. That is the first time I saw the okay message. So I am at 100% now and have a stack of notes on resetting the dang thing the next time. Now on to the oil. Geeez I hope it's not a problem too. I really like the power of these rigs but I may take a hard look at a gas rig the next time around. Self service has become a nightmare and I live too far from a competent dealer to be tied to them.
